  3. Interesting channel, Ive just completed my 3rd and so far alls going well apart from underestimating how long it takes to renovate a property on your own.
You made some great points that i guess only really become obvious by actally doing your first one, i shall enjoy watching someone taking the same journey as myself.ATB Shane

  4. Another wee small point of order: the vast majority of high street mortgage lenders will spank you for early repayment now. Even if you wait out the mandatory period of punitive fixed repayment terms (1-5 years) the bank will still not appreciate you repaying your mortgage so soon and may refuse to do business with you if you keep doing it. Thanks to greater integration of financial records, they will also be very keen to inform everyone else about said behaviour too. You have to be very careful with how you approach and interact with lenders these days – the bank wants to make a profit and really doesn't give a shit about your ambitions. Also you mentioned plan b being to let the property: again not an option now in most cases. The mortgage lender won't be having any of it without substantial costs and you risk falling foul of my first point if you start trying to renegotiate.

  5. Great video. I've encountered exactly the same problems and made the same mistakes although both my budget and time over runs were more significant. You got to do it to know it!
